For sale is this signed horse racing oil painting by Harrie Koster. The back has a gallery label (about to fall off, if it does I will put into a bag and send with painting) from the Netherlands, I managed to research the artist via this gallery who has sold Kosters works, one dating from 1943. I think Koster was experimenting with this as it is not typical of the paintings I have seen by him (the style looks more like impressionist paintings I have seen, all you art experts out there will probably disagree with me), although he does use the same colours as one of his more traditional paintings. It is in nice condition, although when held up to the light there is some cracking which shows up with the light shining through. This is a genuine painting by the artist and is not a print. To the outside of the frame it is approx 52.5cm (20 5/8 inches) x 43cm (17 inches) across, the actual painting is approx 38.3cm (15 1/8 inches) x 29cm (11 3/8 inches) across.
